Jamal Lowe returns to the Pompey starting line-up at Sunderland in the play-offs this evening.

The Blues’ top scorer was rested for the final day of the regular campaign – a 1-1 home draw with Accrington.

But he joins Ronan Curtis and Nathan Thompson in the starting line-up, as Kenny Jackett makes three changes.

Viv Solomon-Otabor, Bryn Morris both drop to the bench, while Lee Brown (Achilles) misses out through injury.

Brett Pitman (hamstring) was a substitute against Stanley, but is also sidelined, with Gareth Evans wearing the captain’s armband.

Pompey: MacGillivray; Thompson, Burgess, Clarke, Walkes; Naylor, Close; Lowe, Evans (c), Curtis; Hawkins
Subs: Bass, Cannon, May, Morris, Solomon-Otabor, Dennis, Bogle
