Celebrate Women’s Football By Supporting Pompey Women Against Warsash

Cheer on the Blues during the first Women's Football Weekend

8 November 2019

Another landmark moment in the growing popularity of women’s football will be marked next Saturday and Sunday with the first Women’s Football Weekend taking place.

Warsash Wasps are the visitors to the PMC Stadium for a Hampshire Cup fixture on Sunday, November 17 (kick-off 2pm).

With no match for the men's team next weekend, you can still get your football fix by cheering on Pompey Women.

Kelly Simmons, The FA’s director of Women’s professional game, said: “Since we announced the first-ever Women’s Football Weekend, we’ve continued to see even more evidence of the huge momentum behind women’s football.

"Fresh from a historic night for our Lionesses at a sold-out Wembley Stadium, there has never been a better time to find and support your local women’s team.

"We’d encourage supporters from all across the country to get involved and be a part of a brilliant weekend.”

Tickets are priced at just £5 for adults or £2 for concessions (under 18 or 63+) and can be bought in advance here.
