Pompey will face one of four sides at Fratton Park in the second round of the Leasing.com Trophy.
Kenny Jackett’s men – who are the competition’s reigning champions – are guaranteed a home tie after finishing top of Southern Group B.
And they will be paired with either Chelsea U21s, Newport, Northampton or Stevenage in Saturday’s draw.
That takes place from 2pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday programme, presented by Julian Warren and conducted by Clinton Morrison and Sue Smith.
Second round ties are scheduled to be played during the week commencing December 2.
