Haunstrup: I'm Looking To Prosper

Defender interviewed in Rotherham programme

26 November 2019

Brandon Haunstrup is enjoying the opportunity to impress in the Pompey back-line.

The left-back has been handed a chance on the opposite flank following a recent injury to Ross McCrorie.

He came on against Southend and provided an assist, then opened his goal account at Harrogate Town in the FA Cup and helped keep a clean sheet in Saturday’s win at Rochdale

And Haunstrup is hoping to help the Blues continue their recent good form during a hectic run of fixtures.

“It’s always disappointing when you get dropped,” he says in the official matchday magazine for tonight’s match. “But hopefully I can have another run in the side and show what I can do.

“I feel like I’ve done well when I’ve been in the team and not done much wrong, especially during that first spell

"Whether I’m going inside or cutting down the line, I feel like I can do a job and it doesn’t faze me."

“I’m comfortable on either side of the back four and am happy on the right or the left. I’ve got some assists playing at right-back and also scored a goal, so I’ve enjoyed it.

“Whether I’m going inside or cutting down the line, I feel like I can do a job and it doesn’t faze me – I’m looking to prosper and help contribute to the team winning games.”

Also in issue 13, Bryn Morris reveals his bests and worsts, while John Marquis selects his dream dinner party guests.

We take an extensive look at Rotherham, while there are exclusive columns from chief executive Mark Catlin, manager Kenny Jackett, skipper Tom Naylor and broadcaster Ian Darke.

All this and much, much more can be found in a packed 84 pages, with the programme priced just £3.
