Craig MacGillivray remains a doubt for Pompey’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Harrogate Town on Monday night.
He missed the League One victory over Southend earlier in the week after hurting his thigh in training.
But Kenny Jackett hopes the keeper will return to action ahead of the first round clash with his former club.
The Blues boss said: “He’s still having symptoms and we hope he’ll improve on Saturday or Sunday – we have some time before the game.

“Ross McCrorie came off with a hamstring problem against Southend and it’s looking like he’ll be out for between 4-6 weeks.
“He’s currently up in Scotland, but will be coming back at the start of next week to continue his rehabilitation.
“Other than that, everyone who featured on Tuesday night is fit and available to travel to Harrogate on Monday.”
