Kenny's Injury Update: Bristol Rovers (A)

Team news for League One contest

24 October 2019

Pompey have no new injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s League One match at Bristol Rovers.

Brett Pitman is closest to returning to fitness, although the Memorial Stadium contest will likely come too soon for the striker.

And Kenny Jackett also provided an update on the recoveries of Oli Hawkins and Bryn Morris, with the latter having recently travelled to Germany for an operation.

The Blues boss said: “We’ll be working with the same group that we had for the Lincoln game on Tuesday evening.

“Brett is closest in terms of the injured players, although he’s doubtful for Saturday and next week is a more realistic assessment.

“It’s been quite a slow one for Oli and we’re not necessarily putting a timeframe on his return just yet.

“He’s been out for a while with his foot injury and we’re not really thinking about any of the upcoming games.

“Bryn is okay after the operation and hopefully this will cure a lot of problems in that sensitive abdominal area.

“We’re hoping he can have a clear run now. He certainly deserves that because he works incredibly hard.”
