Kenny Jackett has no new injury concerns ahead of Pompey’s League One clash with in-form Oxford on Saturday.
Andy Cannon is fit for the Fratton contest, despite limping off during a midweek reserve victory at Bristol Rovers.
But the game probably comes too soon for striker Brett Pitman, who has missed the past three matches.
Blues boss Jackett said: “We’ll be selecting from the same group against Oxford, which should be a cracking game.
"He still has a niggling groin injury that we’re monitoring day-by-day."
“Brett probably won’t be fit. He still has a niggling groin injury that we’re monitoring day-by-day. Hopefully he’ll be alright for Tuesday.
“Andy’s completely over the knock he got on Tuesday and will be available to face Oxford and Southend.”
Teenage defender Joe Hancott is likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering cruciate ligament damage during training.
