Oli Hawkins makes his first league start of the season for Pompey’s League One match at Wycombe this afternoon.

He is expected to feature alongside Christian Burgess in the centre of defence, with Paul Downing dropping to the bench.

There are also returns to the starting line-up for James Bolton at right-back, with Andy Cannon in midfield and Ellis Harrison in the forward line.

Ross McCrorie, Brett Pitman and Ryan Williams also make way and are named among the substitutes.

It means that skipper Tom Naylor is likely to move back to his regular slot in the centre of the Blues midfield.

Pompey: MacGillivray; Bolton, Hawkins, Burgess, Haunstrup; Close, Naylor (c), Canon; Harrison, Marquis, Curtis
Subs: Bass, Walkes, Downing, McCrorie, Evans, Williams, Pitman
