Tom Naylor is a doubt for Pompey’s Carabao Cup tie with Southampton.
The skipper was on the receiving end of some rough challenges during Saturday’s league defeat to Wycombe.
There are no other new injury concerns, although forward Ellis Harrison has to serve a one-match ban.
Blues boss Kenny Jackett said: “We’ve got a few knocks from the weekend and Tom Naylor is probably the worst of them.
"Tom will have a fitness test on Tuesday morning and we’ll have to see then if he’ll be ready to play against Southampton."
“He got a couple of kicks to the calf and thigh in the early stages and is currently 50-50 – they’re both contact injuries.

“Marcus Harness is working to get back for Saturday’s game, while Lee Brown is probably looking towards next week.
“Ellis is suspended following his red card at Wycombe and we’re otherwise working with the same squad.”
