Pompey will face Colchester and Southend in the group stages of the EFL Trophy.
Kenny Jackett’s side – the current competition holders – will face one of the League Two sides at home and the other away in Group A of the Southern Section
They will also be at home to a Category One under-23 side with the draw taking place at 1.30pm tomorrow (August 18) and broadcast live on Talksport 2.
The invited clubs in the Southern Section of the draw include Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Fulham, Norwich, Southampton, West Brom and West Ham.
A date for the final of the 2019/20 competition, which will see Pompey face Salford at Wembley, has yet to be confirmed.
