With Pompey sitting top of the table on Christmas Day, I would, in normal circumstances, be writing to you all in a happy and buoyant frame of mind.
However, while football is a major part of our lives, unfortunately – as has been the case for most of the year – events outside of the sport continue to take centre stage.
As difficult as 2020 might have been, we have to try to remain positive and continue to support each other, as we have done throughout this terrible pandemic.
We remain in daily contact with Mark, Kenny and everyone at the club. Despite not being in the UK, technology allows us to easily communicate with them.
"I look forward to a time, hopefully soon, when we can once again travel to Portsmouth, and specifically Fratton Park."
I am sure that, one way or another, each and every one of you would have been affected by this dreadful virus. My thoughts, love and wishes – and those of my family – are extended to you all.
I look forward to a time, hopefully soon, when we can once again travel to Portsmouth, and specifically Fratton Park, to share with you the passion we all hold for this amazing club.
Have as great a festive period as possible during these trying times – and please stay safe.
From my family to yours, we want to wish you all a very happy and merry yuletide, and a healthy and prosperous new year.
Finally, as always, Play up Pompey!
