Former Blues defender Linvoy Primus has joined Pompey Women as Club Ambassador.
His role will be to help progress the club, while also supporting the board and the backroom staff.
Primus is well known not only for his 219 appearances for Pompey, but more recently his Christian charity work.
He is also founder and trustee of 'Faith & Football' and aimed to raise £50,000 by walking the Great Wall of China in 2005.
"“What a fantastic Christmas present and a great way to end a very difficult year!"
Chairman Eric Coleborn expressed his delight with Primus coming on board. He said: “What a fantastic Christmas present and a great way to end a very difficult year!
“Linvoy is a legend at this football club and will be a fantastic ambassador for our club. I am a huge fan of what he has achieved both on and off the pitch.
“His tremendous charity work is well documented and he will now be a spiritual leader not just for us, but women's football in general.”
