Accrington will be holding a pitch inspection at 1.30pm on Friday ahead of Pompey's scheduled visit on Saturday.
The Crown Ground has seen snow and freezing temperatures over the past few days.
A local referee has been called in to inspect the surface – which has been underneath frost covers – on New Year's Day.
