Pompey have received recognition for their unbeaten start to the calendar year.
Kenny Jackett has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One January Manager of the Month award, while Steve Seddon has been nominated for the Player of the Month prize.
After a draw at Gillingham on New Year’s Day, the Blues went on to win seven successive matches in all competitions.
Three of those came in the league, with maximum points claimed against AFC Wimbledon, Bolton and Lincoln to raise promotion hopes.
On-loan Birmingham left-back Seddon appeared in every minute of that trio of victories, which included a couple of clean sheets and key roles in several of Pompey’s goals.
Jackett is up against Doncaster’s Darren Moore, Sunderland’s Phil Parkinson and Rotherham’s Paul Warne for the managerial honour.
Meanwhile, Seddon’s fellow nominees are Doncaster centre-back Tom Anderson, Sunderland midfielder Chris Maguire and Peterborough striker Ivan Toney.
The winner of both awards will be decided by an expert judging panel and announced on Friday morning.
