Ellis Harrison could be back to add more firepower to the Pompey side against Rochdale.
The striker was forced off with a dead leg during the recent Leasing.com Trophy semi-final victory over Exeter.
He then pulled out of the warm-up ahead of last Saturday’s game at Fleetwood and was absent for Tuesday evening’s victory over MK Dons.
But Harrison has returned to training and Kenny Jackett should be able to select him on Friday evening.
"We’re hoping to have Ellis available. He was out there today and is 100 per cent fit."
The Blues boss said: “We’re hoping to have Ellis available. He was out there today and is 100 per cent fit.
“We’re not expecting any more problems for him and nobody else should be missing from the squad who faced MK Dons.
“We’re pleased to have so many players available through this busy period and we need everyone ready.”
