Pompey Women take on Bedhampton in the semi-finals of the Portsmouth Divisional Football Association Cup at the University of Portsmouth’s Furze Lane this evening (7:05pm kick-off).
This is the Blues’ first game in the competition this season and they will be looking to retain the silverware following last year’s 15-0 victory over Horndean in the final.
The tie also gives Jay Sadler an opportunity to give valuable minutes to members of his side, which they are going to need with a hectic schedule approaching.
Last term’s semi-final saw Pompey make the short trip to Dover Road to face Moneyfields.
Rachel Panting's hat-trick, as well as a strike from EJ May, ensured that they comfortably progressed.
Bedhampton are currently sitting seventh in the Hampshire County Women’s Football League.
They come into the game having picked up nine points from their past nine games, most recently running out 2-1 winners over Southampton Women's development side.
The clash – which kicks off at 7.05pm – is open to spectators and entry is free.
