Ben Close returns to the Pompey starting line-up at Tranmere this afternoon.
He replaces the injured Andy Cannon (glute) in one of two changes from the side that beat Sunderland on home soil the previous week.
The other switch sees Ellis Harrison lead the line and John Marquis drop to the bench, where he is joined by Gareth Evans.
