Christian Burgess has been nominated for the PFA Bristol Street Motors League One Player of the Month award for January.
The defender is looking to become the third Pompey star to collect the award in succession after Ronan Curtis triumphed in both November and December.
Burgess played in all eight games as the Blues went the whole month unbeaten, racking up seven wins in the process.
He also provided the winning goal at Bolton in League One, then scored again when Barnsley were knocked out of the FA Cup a week later.
The 28-year-old has been shortlisted alongside Gillingham’s John Akinde, Rotherham’s Dan Barlaser, Sunderland’s Chris Maguire, Coventry’s Sam McCallum and Peterborough’s Ivan Toney.
