Portsmouth FC Statement: Ticket Options

Fans can select from several options following season's curtailment

11 June 2020

Following a vote by EFL clubs to curtail the 2019/20 season – and discussions with the H&A Board and Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference (TGFC) – Portsmouth Football Club can now confirm the options available for season ticket holders and matchday ticket holders.

Although the regular league season has ended, Pompey now face Oxford in the play-offs and the winners of a two-legged tie will take on either Wycombe or Fleetwood for a place in the Championship.

It has been decided by the EFL that these fixtures will be screened exclusively live on Sky Sports, meaning we are unable to show them on iFollow.

Chief Commercial Officer Anna Mitchell said: “We would like to thank all our fans for their patience and understanding while we have waited for official confirmation on how the season would end.

“It is only right that we allow supporters to be reimbursed for matches that did not ultimately take place – either with a refund or a credit that can be used for future purchases.

“However, we have also been overwhelmed and humbled by the number of supporters who have been in touch with us to say they would prefer for their money to remain with the club during this challenging economic period.

“This is a generous and welcome offer at a time when the club’s income streams have been severely affected, but we also fully understand that many of our supporters will also have been severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

“After listening and taking on board the views of the Tony Goodall Fans’ Conference, and confirming with both the main and H&A boards, we are confident that the options detailed below tick the boxes of all of our amazing fans.”

Season Ticket Holders
Pompey had four home games remaining when the season was suspended, with games against Accrington, Doncaster, Bristol Rovers and Blackpool not taking place.

Season ticket holders will be offered the following options:

Option 1: Your online account will be credited to the value of 4/23 of the cost of your season ticket. This can be used when purchasing season tickets or match tickets in the future.

Option 2: A full refund to the value of 4/23 of the cost of your season ticket.

Option 3: Donate the money to the club during this financially challenging time.

Home & Away Match Ticket Holders
Supporters who have bought tickets for individual games – both home and away – can choose to either claim a full refund or receive a credit which can be used to purchase tickets for future matches.

Seasonal Hospitality
Season hospitality holders can claim a full refund to the value of 4/23 the cost of their season ticket, receive a credit to use for future purchases or donate the money to the club.

Matchday Hospitality
Supporters who have purchased a hospitality package for individual games will be contacted by our sales team to arrange a refund or credit.

Stadium Tours
Supporters who have booked a stadium tour can either claim a full refund or a credit to be used for purchasing match tickets or stadium tours in the future.

Leasing.com Trophy Final
A new date for the Leasing.com Trophy final at Wembley has yet to be announced. All tickets will remain valid for the new date.

Once this date has been announced, fans who can no longer attend should contact the ticket office.

Information on how supporters can select their preferred option will be announced as soon as the technical process has been finalised.
