Blues on the road in the National League

2 March 2020

Pompey Women make a swift return to action when they face Hounslow at Uxbridge’s Honeycroft ground this evening (7.45pm kick-off).

This game comes just three days after their 4-0 victory at MK Dons, where a brace from Jade Widdows, plus goals from Katie James and Rosie McDonnell saw the Blues claim all three points.

That saw them move up to seventh spot and they hold plenty of games in hand over every other club in the division.

Jay Sadler’s side romped to a resounding 8-0 win against the Londoners in the home fixture back in September.

Tamsin de Bunsen, Becki Bath and Charmaine True all scored twice each, while there were further strikes from Jade Bradley and Eilidh Currie.

Hounslow have struggled this season and are currently sitting in 11th position – one place above basement side Chichester.

They have collected just three National League points to date, courtesy of draws with MK Dons, Chichester and Keynsham

Sadler will once again be without the injured duo of Tamsin de Bunsen (hamstring) and Laura Ingram (ankle).
