Further to new Government advice being issued, it has been decided that Pompey in the Community will suspend all non-school based delivery, effective from today (March 17).
This is for an initial period of two weeks, with a review at least once a week thereafter.
The suspension affects activities with children and young people outside of a school setting, as well as work with adults and community-based activities.
Importantly, the decision that we have reached reluctantly is not a reaction to any known exposure or incident at Pompey in the Community.
We regret to announce this news. It is not a decision that we have made lightly as we recognise how important the interaction we have with our participants is.
However, the safety and wellbeing of all of our participants and staff has to remain our utmost priority.
