The 2019/20 campaign has finished for Pompey Women.
An announcement from The FA confirmed that the season will come to an immediate end for clubs from the third tier downwards.
Pompey had been sitting seventh in the National League Southern Premier Division table when football was suspended a fortnight ago.
But the season has now been declared null and void, with no sides being promoted or relegated.
Blues chairman Eric Coleborn said: “While it is obviously disappointing to see the 2019/20 season come to a premature end, we are pleased that there is now clarity and we can start planning for the 2020/21 campaign.
“Football remains secondary to the health and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters, and we urge everyone to continue following government advice.”

FA STATEMENT
In the women’s game, The FA, FA women’s board members and the Women’s Football Conference have consulted and reached a consensus regarding the women’s football pyramid.
The FA and the leagues within tiers three to seven have reached a consensus to bring the season to an immediate end and all results will be expunged.
This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between tiers three and seven. Agreement has also been reached to end the Regional Talent Clubs season, which was due to conclude in April 2020.
We remain in consultation with the Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship board and clubs regarding the most appropriate way to complete the current season, including the Barclays FA Women’s Super League Academy.
Huge credit to all our players, staff, volunteers and fans for their commitment and efforts. When football makes a return, we’ll be ready. In the meantime, stay safe everyone! 🔵⚽️ #Pompey #BlueTogether https://t.co/sgwdWD6sp7
