Pompey Women have completed the signing of defender Abi Mason.
Like other members of the Blues squad, she progressed through the ranks at Brighton’s regional talent club.
Mason featured in 16 WSL Academy fixtures for the Seagulls last season, as they finished in ninth position.
And she also made one appearance for their first team in a 5-0 rout over Championship side Crystal Palace.
Mason said: "I’m delighted to sign for Portsmouth. I’m excited by the new environment, getting to know the girls, the new coaches and to compete in a new league.
"I think this is a more competitive league, which brings challenges in itself, and I’m excited to hopefully play week in, week out.

"Having been here over pre-season, it’s been easier to settle in and get to know the girls – I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch."
Head coach Jay Sadler added: "I’m really pleased to bring Abi to the football club. She’s been with us for a short period and has fitrted in well with the current group.
"She comes well educated from one of the top youth set-ups in the country and possesses a desire and eagerness to learn.
"These attributes, along with her understanding of the game, will create a good platform for her to grow."
