Danny Cowley has had to contend with a lengthy injury list in recent weeks.
Ellis Harrison and Michael Jacobs are out for the remainder of the campaign, while Jordy Hiwula is also sidelined.
Andy Cannon’s minutes have been limited by an ongoing back problem and to top it all off, Jack Whatmough is suspended for three more matches.
But Cowley is hoping to welcome back Lee Brown shortly and has provided an update on Alex Bass’ recovery from a foot fracture.
The Blues boss said: “We’ve got injuries and suspensions, but most teams are probably saying the same thing in April.
"We’ve got our fingers crossed with Lee and he’ll do his best, but we’ll have to wait and see in terms of this weekend."
“At the moment it’s about trying to find the fittest players so that we can select the most balanced side possible.
“We’ve got our fingers crossed with Lee and he’ll do his best, but we’ll have to wait and see in terms of this weekend.
“Bassy is back out on the grass and it’s the early part of his training. He’s jumping around, making save and his progress is encouraging.
“It’s been a really tough year for him, but he’s a fantastic lad and wonderful asset for this football club.”
