Portsmouth Football Club can confirm that Mark Kelly has resigned from his role as player development manager.

The former Republic of Ireland international made 56 appearances for the Blues as a player between 1988 and 1990 before injury brought a premature end to his professional career.

He later returned to Fratton Park to work in the youth set-up and replaced Andy Awford as academy manager in 2014.

Kelly then took up a new part-time position focusing on players between the ages of 19 and 23 last summer.

We would like to thank Mark for his service over the years and wish him all the best for the future.
