Pompey fans got a brief glimpse of him in action during pre-season.
Now Louis Thompson is hoping to make a bigger impression after completing a switch to Fratton Park.
The midfielder did enough during his brief period training with the club to convince Danny Cowley to sign him.
And after a frustrating period with injuries, Thompson is looking to make a positive impact at his new club.
He said: “I came down to train for a few days and was fortunate enough to be involved in the Peterborough game.
“The manager wanted to have a look at me and see if I fitted in with what he wanted to implement here.
“It’s been a pretty quick process and I was happy to get a decision and now get started with the season.
"The manager wanted to have a look at me and see if I fitted in with what he wanted to implement here."
“I’m a high energy player who can sit in front of the back four, but also go forward – a box-to-box midfielder.
“Hopefully I can bring those qualities onto the pitch frequently this season and the manager can get the best out of me.
“I’ve had a turbulent few years and been a bit unfortunate, but he’s got a plan for me and I’m looking forward to starting with that.”
Thompson knows how special a packed Fratton Park can be after previous visits to see his brother Nathan in action.
The 26-year-old said: “I came to watch quite a bit of him during his play-off season and know it’s an extremely passionate fan-base.
“Like at Norwich, the football club here is the hub of the city and when things are going well, it’s a fantastic place to be.
“With that comes a pressure to perform to the level that the fans expect, so hopefully we can do that this season.”
