Pompey have completed the signing of Charlie Daniels on a deal until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The 34-year-old left-back recently left Shrewsbury and will wear the number 21 shirt during his time at Fratton Park.
Blues boss Kenny Jackett said: “He’s the specialist left-back we have been looking for and is someone who’s had a fantastic career.
“He’d been performing extremely well for Shrewsbury in the first half of the season and so we’re delighted to bring him here.
“Charlie is a good all-round full-back, who has a great positional sense and will be a real asset for us.”

Daniels progressed through the ranks at Tottenham before making more than 150 appearances for Leyton Orient.
He signed for Bournemouth in 2011 and was part of their dramatic rise under Eddie Howe, climbing from the third tier into the Premier League.
Daniels netted 17 goals in 265 games for the Cherries, but left in the summer of 2020 and agreed a short-term deal with Shrewsbury.
He featured 16 times for them this season, finding the net in victories over Cambridge – in the FA Cup – and Hull.
