Team news for Papa John's Trophy tie

12 January 2021

Pompey have rung the changes for this evening's Papa John's Trophy tie at Peterborough.

Rasmus Nicolaisen is the only player who started Sunday's FA Cup clash at Bristol City to keep his place.

Duncan Turnbull makes his debut between the sticks, with skipper Paul Downing, James Bolton, and teenage duo Harry Kavanagh and Harvey rew completing the defence.

Academy midfielder Harry Jewitt-White is alongside Ben Close and Bryn Morris in the centre of the park.

Ellis Harrison and Jordy Hiwula lead the line, with top scorer John Marquis named on a mostly youthful bench.

Pompey: Turnbull; Bolton, Downing (c), Nicolaisen; Kavanagh, Jewitt-White, Close, Morris, Rew; Harrison, Hiwula
Subs: Seymour, Johnson, Bridgman, Bell, Brook, Stanley, Marquis
