Pompey Women got their pre-season campaign off to a positive start with a 4-1 win over Maidenhead at the PMC Stadium.
But they had to recover from falling behind before eventually enjoying a comprehensive victory against the National League Division One South West outfit.
Tamsin de Bunsen bagged a brace, while Hayley Bridge and Jade Widdows were also on target in the friendly.
Blues boss Jay Sadler fielded summer signings Emma Jones and Evie Gane, as well as a selection of trialists.
It was the visitors who broke the deadlock midway through the first half, with Chrissy Nazif pouncing after a cross was parried into her path.
There was an instant reply, though, as BRIDGE latched onto a fine pass, drove purposefully into the box and slotted home.
The same player almost provided an assist just before the break, but Jones could not quite get on the end of her centre.
However, DE BUNSEN did find the target following the restart, collecting the ball from Becki Bath, turning a defender and curling a shot into the top corner.
And DE BUNSEN had another goal on 67 minutes following some good work to beat her marker on the edge of the box.
Bath looked like wrapping up a comprehensive victory late on, although could not beat the keeper from an acute angle.
But there was still time for WIDDOWS to strike right at the death following a fine free-kick into the mixer by Gane.
