Shannon Albuery struck four goals as Pompey eased to a pre-season friendly victory over south coast neighbours Bournemouth.

Dani Lane, Hayley Bridge, Sammy Quayle and Becki Bath were also all on target in the Westleigh Park rout.

The hosts had to wait until midway through the first half before breaking the deadlock – only to then notch three in the space of five minutes.

Albuery angled home the opener and then volleyed home from close range, with a fine solo strike from Lane sandwiched in between.

Bridge added another when Albuery’s initial attempt was saved, while a corner was then nodded down for Albuery to complete her treble with a sample tap-in.

The striker added her fourth of the afternoon straight after the interval, racing through on goal and neatly slotting home.

Albuery then turned provider to tee-up Quayle and after the Blues twice struck the woodwork, Bath wrapped things up late on.
