Charmaine True Departs Pompey Women

Forward leaves Blues

17 June 2021

Pompey Women forward Charmaine True’s second stint at the club has come to an end after two years.

She returned to the Blues in the summer of 2019, having left the club’s reserve set-up the previous year.

True spent the 2018/19 campaign with Crystal Palace’s second string, netting a prolific haul of 33 goals in just 16 games.

She then headed back to the south and was joint-top goal scorer for the Blues during the interrupted 2019/20 season.

"Her commitment and endeavour cannot be questioned and I wish her all the best in the future."

And a series of impressive displays last term saw her crowned Player of the Year by supporters.

Pompey Women head coach Jay Sadler said: “Charmaine has been a great servant during her second spell at the club.

“Her commitment and endeavour cannot be questioned and I wish her all the best in the future.”

Everyone at Portsmouth Football Club would like to thank Charmaine and wish her well for the next stage of her career.
