The EFL have confirmed the key dates across the League and its competitions for the 2021/22 campaign.
The season is set to get under way across the Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two on the weekend of August 7.
The Sky Bet EFL play-offs will once again be staged at Wembley Stadium and conclude the season across two weekends in May.
Details regarding the 2021/22 fixture release day will be announced in due course.
2021/22 Key Dates
- Start Date: Saturday, August 7 (with a live television game likely on Friday, August 6)
- Carabao Cup round one: w/c August 9
- Papa John's Trophy round one: w/c August 30
- Carabao Cup final: Sunday, February 27
- Papa John's Trophy final: Sunday, April 3
- League One final day: weekend of April 30
- League Two/Championship final day: weekend of May 7
- League One play-off final: Saturday, May 21
- League Two play-off final: Saturday, May 28
- Championship play-off final: Sunday, May 29
