Portsmouth Football Club are pleased to announce an exciting new fan loyalty and rewards programme that will be launching ahead of the 2021/22 season.
As part of a partnership with Barclays and Fortress GB, the new initiative will help deepen the connection between Pompey and the Fratton faithful, and ensure that supporters are rewarded for their loyalty to – and engagement with – the club.
Season ticket holders and members will receive a card that will work as both their matchday ticket and a pre-paid payment card.
Barclays will embed payment technology within the card, meaning it can be used for all purchases at Fratton Park and the club shop, as well as anywhere that accepts Visa as a payment method.
Fans will earn loyalty points based on specific interactions with the club, which they can then redeem for exclusive rewards or money-can’t-buy Pompey experiences.
The programme will also enable members to earn loyalty points by spending at several affiliated high street and online brands.
"We are excited to launch this new initiative, which will provide an opportunity for our amazing fans to get even closer to the club."
Club partners and other businesses will also be able to get closer to our fans by offering incentives and rewards to members directly through the programme, adding further value to the experience of being a Blues fan.
Anna Mitchell, Pompey’s chief commercial officer, said: “We are excited to launch this new initiative, which will provide an opportunity for our amazing fans to get even closer to the club.
“There are plenty of fantastic and innovative rewards that will be offered to our supporters, while having one card to use for both entering Fratton Park and spending inside the stadium provides added convenience.
“We would like to thank Barclays and Fortress GB for their support and look forward to launching this great new initiative ahead of next season.”
Steve Nott-Macaire, senior business development manager at Fortress GB, added: “Fortress is delighted to partner with Portsmouth Football Club and Barclays to launch the club’s new fan rewards and affiliate programme.
“Fortress and Portsmouth have had a long and mutually beneficial relationship since the club chose the Fortress Access control system for its stadium and we are looking forward to working with the club to expand the programme over the coming years.”
Adam Herson, business development director at Barclays, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Portsmouth to bring this ground-breaking innovation in fan engagement to life.
“The all-in-one membership card uses the best of Barclays payment technology to deliver a seamless experience for fans and allows the club to engage with its loyal supporters more meaningfully.”
