Portsmouth Football Club can confirm the departures of three members of the backroom team.

First team coaches Joe Gallen and Jake Wigley, and goalkeeping coach John Keeley are all leaving Pompey.

Head coach Danny Cowley said: “We would like to thank Joe, Jake and John for the way they have supported us and for all their hard work since they’ve been at the club.

“All three of them are really good football people and we wish them nothing but success in the future.”

Gallen arrived at Pompey alongside Kenny Jackett in the summer of 2017 and was caretaker manager for the League One match at Peterborough back in March.

Wigley was appointed the following year and is the son of ex-Blues winger Steve Wigley, who featured 139 times for the club.

Former Brighton keeper Keeley returned to Fratton Park in 2016, having previously formed part of the club’s backroom team between 2007 and 2013.
