We take a look at how Pompey's international players fared during the recent round of World Cup qualifiers.
Wales
There were mixed emotions for Joe Morrell following fixtures against Belarus and Belgium at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The Pompey midfielder came on for the final 20 minutes of a 5-1 victory in the first of those fixtures.
He was then on the field for the entirety of an impressive 1-1 draw with the side sitting top of FIFA’s world rankings.
Those results meant that Wales finished second in Group E and will be seeded for the play-offs, ensuring a home semi-final.
But a yellow card picked up against Belgium means that Morrell will be suspended for that match, although he would be available for the final should they make it.

Republic of Ireland
Previous results meant that there was no chance of qualifying for Qatar 2002, but Ireland continued their recent upturn in form.
Gavin Bazunu kept a clean sheet in their goalless draw with Portugal in Dublin, with the visitors ultimately being consigned to a place in the play-offs.
And there was another shut-out in Luxembourg three days later, ensuring that Stephen Kenny’s side finished in third position.
