Pompey’s home League One fixture against Sheffield Wednesday has reverted to its original date of Tuesday, December 7.
The Fratton Park contest kicks-off at 7.45pm and will still be shown live on Sky Sports Football.
Tickets are on general sale and those that have already been purchased remain valid for the different date.
The change is because Sky Sports are also showing the league match between MK Dons and Plymouth, which had to take the Wednesday slot because the Pilgrims are in FA Cup action on the previous Sunday.
Pompey have not met the Owls since a 2-1 defeat on the south coast in April 2003, although the hosts brushed off that disappointment to secure promotion to the Premier League three days later.
