Basher Benfield Disabled Supporters' Association Holding Coffee Morning

Group renamed after their former chairman

14 October 2021

The Pompey Disabled Supporters’ Association has been renamed to honour their former chairman.

Loyal Blues supporter Howard ‘Basher’ Benfield sadly passed away at QA Hospital last October at the age of 56.

Now the revamped Basher Benfield Disabled Supporters’ Association will be holding a coffee morning at Fratton Park later this month.

It takes place inside the Victory Lounge from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, October 21.

The group are looking to cater for all disabled supporters moving forward and so will have no membership fees or committees.

But they will continue to hold regular meetings with the club and the coffee morning will allow supporters to discuss matters that affect them, such as the ongoing stadium works.
