Mahlon Romeo has produced a few impressive performances since his deadline day loan switch from Millwall.
But the defender is hoping that he will soon be able to start celebrating some wins in a Pompey shirt.
He was part of the side that secured a dramatic draw with Plymouth on Tuesday evening, having previously featured in defeats to AFC Wimbledon, MK Dons and Cambridge.
And the 26-year-old is confident that the Blues are not too far away from going on a positive run of form.
Romeo said: “I’ve personally really enjoyed my time here so far, even if the results haven’t been that great.
“But if you look at all those games a bit closer, then you see it’s just those finer details that are missing.
"The qualities are there and I’ve got every confidence that we’ll start to click and then keep improving."
“There are a lot of new players and it’s going to take time. I think you can see that we’re starting to gel together, though.
“We can look back at what’s happened, fine-tune a few little things and then we’ll be a lot more comfortable.
“The qualities are there and I’ve got every confidence that we’ll start to click and then keep improving.”
Romeo played as a wing-back against Argyle after Danny Cowley opted to make a switch to three at the back.
He said: “The gaffer always says that the ethos stays exactly the same – it’s about working hard in whatever you do.
“We had to adapt to the new formation at fairly short notice, but I thought we dealt with it pretty well.
“That attacking side of it does suit the way I like to play, although you’ve got to make sure you also get the defending right.”
