Gavin Bazunu has been shortlisted in the Sky Bet League One Young Player of the Season category at the EFL Awards.
The goalkeeper will battle it out with Fleetwood midfielder Paddy Lane and Sunderland star Dan Neil to claim the prize.
Bazunu has been in fine form since joining the Blues on loan from Manchester City last summer, impressing with his excellent distribution skills as much as his shot-stopping abilities.
The 20-year-old Republic of Ireland international has kept 16 league clean sheets, with only Plymouth’s Mike Cooper having a better record in the division.
This year’s star-studded EFL Awards are being held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane on Sunday, April 24.
A Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season will be named in each of the three divisions, along with a Team of the Season for the Championship, League One and League Two.
Other awards to be handed out on the night include Community Club of the Season, Community Project of the Season, PFA Player in the Community, Family Club of the Season, Diversity Award, Environmental Sustainability Award, Supporter of the Season, Goal of the Season.
The Sir Tom Finney Award and Contribution to League Football prizes will also be awarded to two deserving recipients.
