Pompey are delighted to confirm that Fred Dinenage is hosting the club's end of season awards dinner on Sunday, May 1.
The broadcasting legend – and former club director – recently retired from presenting the ITV Meridian News after an incredible 38 years in the role.
He will interview Danny Cowley on stage, where the Blues boss will discuss his first full season in the Fratton Park dug-out.
“I am delighted to be hosting the end of season awards dinner,” said Fred. “I saw my first match at Fratton Park in 1956 when I was 14 and a Birmingham City supporter. Thankfully I ‘saw the light’ and have been a Pompey fan ever since.
“I was lucky enough to be with Milan Mandaric when we reached the Premier League – and hopefully, under Danny Cowley, it will happen again.
"I’m really looking forward to meeting Danny and the team – and friends and fans old and new – at what promises to be a wonderful evening."

Players and members of the coaching staff will also be in attendance, mingling with guests and sat at their tables, giving you the chance to chat with them about the 2021/22 campaign.
The evening starts at 6.30pm and includes a four course fine-dining experience. Guests will also enjoy a welcome drink, while a raffle and auction will be held, as well as the awards ceremony.
And there will also be entertainment provided by an after dinner speaker, with details of that to be announced soon.
