Sean Raggett has been named The News/Sports Mail Player of the Season.
The Pompey centre-back follows in the footsteps of Craig MacGillivray, who claimed the silverware at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
He was the runaway winner of the prestigious prize, which is voted for by readers of our local newspapers.
Raggett makes his 50th appearance of the season in today’s clash with Gillingham and has also chipped in with six goals, including a stunner at Morecambe on Monday.
On-loan keeper Gavin Bazunu came second in the voting, with defender Connor Ogilvie finishing in third position.
Previous winners of the award include Alan Knight, Noel Blake, Guy Whittingham, Alan McLoughlin, Peter Crouch, Arjan de Zeeuw, David James, Glen Johnson, Enda Stevens and Matt Clarke.
