Josh Griffiths certainly enjoyed his first experience of a night under the lights at Fratton Park.
The on-loan keeper helped Pompey fight from behind to thrash Cambridge and claim all three points on Tuesday night.
He felt that the support from the stands was a key reason behind how they responded to the setback of conceding first.
And Griffiths is hoping for a similar atmosphere when the Blues welcome Bristol Rovers to the south coast this weekend.
He said: “We’ve had good results at Cardiff and Cheltenham, and then against Cambridge in midweek, so we want that to continue.
“Playing at Fratton Park on Tuesday was a real eye-opener for me and the atmosphere was amazing to experience.
“There was a lot of clapping, which is obviously a good sign, and we were able to get the fans off their seats.
"When they’re as loud as they were, then it’s always going to be really difficult for the opposition to play against us."
“They’re going to massive for us this season and can be the 12th man, with the ability to suck the ball into the net.
“When they’re as loud as they were, then it’s always going to be really difficult for the opposition to play against us.
“It’ll be another good test against Bristol Rovers. They’re a hard working team and hopefully we can get Fratton Park bouncing again.”
Griffiths has not missed a minute for Pompey so far this season and kept three shut-outs in the process.
He said: “It’s been a good start for me and there have been a few clean sheets, but I’m not getting carried away.
“I take it one game at a time and just keep trying to improve on my last performance. I’m looking to carry on building.
“Everyone’s has helped me settle in – on and off the pitch – and I’ve been able to build relationships, which has helped create a solid platform.”
