Pompey have racked up goals and points aplenty in the opening weeks of the League One season.
And Joe Pigott insists that they will not let their focus drop when attention switches the Carabao Cup.
The Blues travel to Newport on Tuesday evening, looking to reach the third round of the competition for just the second time since 2010.
But with the hosts having taken some high profile cup scalps in recent years, Pigott has warned against complacency.
The striker said: “The approach from us is absolutely no different to how it would be for a league game.
“Confidence is high at the moment and we’re on a really good run of form, so we want to make sure that continues.
"We feel like we can attack on all different fronts and will be doing all we can to get through to the next round."

“Newport have caused a few cup upsets in recent years, though, and so we know it’s not going to be easy.
“But we’ll do our best to go there and get another positive result. When you’re winning games, you always look forward to the next one.”
Pigott came off the bench to restore Pompey’s lead with a cool penalty in Saturday’s victory over Bristol Rovers.
He said: “I’ve actually missed a few in my career, but I felt confident when I stepped up to take it and was delighted to see the ball hit the net.”
