Pompey have been drawn away to Bolton Wanderers in the quarter-finals of the Papa Johns Trophy.
The tie will be played at the University of Bolton Stadium in the week commencing January 9.
It will be the second meeting between the sides in under a week, as they are also scheduled to face off in the league a few days later.
A confirmed date for the contest and ticket information will be announced in due course.
