Michael Jacobs returns to the Pompey starting line-up for this afternoon’s League One match at Oxford.

He replaces Marcus Harness in one of five changes from the side beaten by Charlton on home soil on Monday night.

Mahlon Freeman (ankle) and Shaun Williams (back) both miss out through injury and are replaced by Kieron Freeman and Louis Thompson.

The other two changes see Clark Robertson and Tyler Walker – who drop to the bench with Harness – make way for Connor Ogilvie and Ronan Curtis.

Deadline day signing Aiden O’Brien is also named among the substitutes, along with a fit-again Ryan Tunnicliffe.

Pompey: Bazunu; Carter, Raggett (c), Ogilvie; Freeman, Thompson, Morrell, Hume; Jacobs; Hirst, Curtis
Subs: Webber, Robertson, Tunnicliffe, Hackett, Harness, O’Brien, Walker
