Jemma Tewkesbury Departs Pompey Women

Assistant leaves Blues

21 February 2022

Assistant head coach Jemma Tewkesbury has left Pompey Women to become manager of Sherborne Town.

The former Blues striker returned to the club in February 2020 after calling time on her playing career.

She was named as Jay Sadler’s number two following the departure of James Wilson.

Tewkesbury covered 37 games in her time as assistant, with two of her three seasons hit by the pandemic.

She spent two seasons as a player, scoring 21 goals in 37 appearances and 17 of those were netted in the title-winning 2011/12 campaign, when she finished top scorer for the club.

Everyone at Portsmouth Football Club would like to thank Jemma for her service and wish her all the best in her new role.
