Pompey Women are delighted to announce the signing of Anaisa Harney, who joins on loan from Championship side Watford.
Harney progressed through the ranks at Reading, developing alongside current Blues stars Jaime Gotch, Evie Gane and Tamsin de Bunsen.
The 21-year-old has been at Watford since the start of the 2017/18 season and helped the Hornets win promotion to the second tier last term.
She has scored one goal for Watford this season – a dramatic last-minute equaliser against Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road.
Blues boss Jay Sadler said: “I’m delighted to welcome Anaisa to Pompey. She comes with Championship experience and possesses qualities that give our frontline a different option.
“It’s all happened quite quickly, with the discussions and paperwork completed on deadline day.
"We’ve now got a job of getting Anaisa up to speed with our game model, but with her game intelligence that won’t be a problem.
“In terms of attributes, she’s a powerful attacker who works hard both in and out of possession.
"Her physical presence allows for hold up play, giving us a different dynamic, as well as another aerial threat in both boxes.”
