Tickets are now on sale for Pompey’s pre-season friendly against Coventry at Fratton Park.

The Championship side visit the south coast on Saturday, July 23 (3pm kick-off) – a week before the start of the new season.

The match will be a test event for the redeveloped South Stand and North Stand Lower, which will be the only areas of the ground open for home supporters.

This is because the club need to achieve a minimum 50 per cent capacity in the South Stand to satisfy the test event criteria.

A successful test event will mean that the refurbished South Stand can be fully open for the first league game of the season.

It will also ensure that season ticket holders who have renewed in these parts of the stadium have the chance to watch a game from their new seat before the first competitive fixture.

Season ticket holders in the South Stand and North Lower who renewed their season ticket for the upcoming season by 11.59pm on Thursday, June 30 are now able to purchase their seat for this game.

If they wish to sit in their renewed seat, they should sign into their eticketing account and select the offer in their profile, which can be found in the top-right corner of the screen.

All other season ticket holders also now have a priority period to book available seats in the South Stand and North Lower. These can be purchased by selecting seats from the seating plan online.

Tickets for the friendly go on general sale online from 5.30pm on Friday, July 8. They will be available to purchase in person from 9am on Monday, July 11.
