Portsmouth FC Women are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Anaisa Harney following a successful loan spell.
Harney first joined the Blues from Watford in January, and during her six-month loan period, featured eight times scoring two goals.
Her first came in the dramatic 3-3 draw with AFC Wimbledon, and the second was a fine strike in Pompey's 4-0 victory away to London Bees.
The 21-year-old has been at Watford since the start of the 2017/18 season, having previously progressed through the ranks at Reading.
Featuring three times in the Championship for the Hornets, the forward's only goal was a last-minute equaliser against Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road.
Blues boss Jay Sadler said: “I’m happy to secure Anaisa on a permanent deal. She impressed in her short loan spell last year and I feel she still has a lot more to offer.
"Her physical presence gave us a different attacking dynamic. She can hold up play, combine with others and contains a real aerial threat in both boxes. However, her technical proficiency and game intelligence gets overlooked.
"We saw glimpses of these qualities last season. Her timing of movement and intelligence when dropping into pockets is an extremely undervalued asset of hers."
