Portsmouth FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of forward Mae Goulden.
The promising youngster joins the Blues having spent the past six years at Reading.
Last season, she featured for the Royals' under-21 side in the WSL Academy league, scoring five goals in 16 appearances.
"She has the physical attributes to press from the front and is powerful when running with the ball."
The 18-year-old has also represented England at youth level, featuring twice against Belgium.
Manager Jay Sadler expressed his delight with Pompey's latest addition.
He said: “Mae is a talented individual and one who I believe will flourish in a first team environment.
“She is an extremely hard-working striker who can run in behind effectively and link the play well when her back is to goal.
"She has the physical attributes to press from the front and is powerful when running with the ball.
“We have been in healthy discussion throughout the summer and our visions coincide with one another. I’m really looking forward to starting work with Mae and supporting her progression here at Pompey.”
